Ammon News - Jordan Customs Department's Anti-Smuggling Directorate, seized three major cases within 48 hours as part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and protect society and the national economy.
Patrols operating within their jurisdiction intercepted a vehicle carrying around 80,000 Captagon pills. The seized items were confiscated, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
In a related incident, customs patrols pursued a suspicious vehicle and, after applying rules of engagement with smugglers, managed to seize 29,000 Captagon pills.
Another operation, resulting from close monitoring and precise intelligence efforts, led to the seizure of 2 kilograms of marijuana.
The Jordan Customs Department affirmed that its personnel continue to carry out their national duty with efficiency and competence, working in an integrated manner and in close cooperation with various security agencies to protect the national economy and safeguard the safety and health of citizens from the dangers of smuggling and its negative impacts on society.
The department also urged citizens to promptly report any information or suspicious activities that may affect the national economy or public health by calling the toll-free number (105) of the Anti-Smuggling Operations Center.
