Ammon News - Government Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communication Mohammed Al-Momani said Saturday that Jordan is handling regional developments with high efficiency and capability, relying on well-established institutions, affirming that "this is a country that has never entered a crisis without emerging stronger."
Speaking at a press conference held on Saturday at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Al-Momani noted that Jordan’s strategic objectives focus on maintaining security and stability, minimizing the impact of regional events on the country and its citizens, and ensuring the continuity of daily life and economic activities as normal.
Various ministries and sectors have activated their pre-prepared plans in coordination with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, working in an integrated and effective manner to address regional challenges and ensure an efficient response, he added.
He also confirmed that supply chains are operating regularly and sustainably, essential goods are available, and fuel supplies continue to flow steadily.
He noted that daily reports are submitted to the Prime Minister detailing the current situation, the mechanisms by which various sectors are addressing the challenges, and the decisions that need to be made. The Prime Minister, in turn, presents these reports to His Majesty King Abdullah on an ongoing basis.
Al-Momani reiterated the importance of obtaining information from official sources and responsible, professional media outlets, and cautioned against the proliferation of misinformation and fake news that often increases in such circumstances.
"What our armed forces – the Arab Army – and our security services are doing is a noble and sacred duty, a source of pride and honor for Jordanians and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Our soldiers embody the values of this nation: determination, dedication, courage, and integrity, supported by political wisdom that affirms Jordan will not be a battleground for any party, nor a launching pad for aggression against anyone," Momani added.
In addition, he indicated that 267 ships arrived at the Port of Aqaba last month.
