Ammon News - Energy expert Hashem Aqel said that if global fuel prices were fully reflected in Jordan’s local pricing for April, the actual increase for diesel and kerosene would reach 60%, while gasoline prices would rise by 30%.
Speaking to "Ammon News", Aqel said he expects the Jordanian government to make a citizen-friendly decision, potentially preventing the full impact of global price increases from being applied to local fuel prices.
He added that the government might absorb the larger portion of the price hike to ease the burden on consumers.
