Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held a telephone call on Tuesday with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.
During the call, the two ministers discussed prospects for ending the dangerous escalation in the region and mitigating its security, political, and economic repercussions on regional security and stability.
Safadi and Fidan also discussed efforts aimed at ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and the illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank, which undermine all opportunities for achieving a just peace.
The two ministers reiterated their condemnation of these measures and stressed the need for concerted efforts by the international community to halt them immediately.
Safadi offered the Kingdom's condolences on the martyrdom of several members and collaborators of the joint Qatari-Turkish forces, all Turkish nationals, in a helicopter crash in the State of Qatar due to a technical malfunction.
