Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone thwarted at dawn on Tuesday two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics using electronically guided balloons.

Border Guard units, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected and intercepted the balloons, intercepting their cargo within Jordanian territory.

The seized narcotics were then transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.

In a related incident, the Southern Military Region thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone on its western border on Monday evening.
