Slight temperature rise brings mild weather across Jordan Wednesday

11-03-2026 08:23 AM

Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Wednesday, bringing mild conditions across most regions while dusty weather reduces visibility in several areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department said.

Pleasant weather is forecast across much of the country, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will experience warmer conditions. Medium and high clouds are expected, particularly over eastern regions, with moderate southeasterly winds that may become active at times and raise dust, especially in Badia areas.

The department warned of reduced visibility due to blowing dust in several areas, which may at times lead to near-zero visibility on desert roads. It also warned of possible frost formation during early morning hours over high mountainous areas and parts of the Badia, urging people with respiratory conditions to take necessary precautions.

Dusty conditions are expected to persist on Thursday, with mild weather prevailing across most regions and warm conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Medium and high clouds are forecast, while northeasterly winds are expected to shift to northwesterly during the afternoon.

Pleasant weather is forecast on Friday across most regions, with warm conditions in low-lying areas. Medium and high clouds are expected, accompanied by moderate easterly winds that may become active at times and raise dust, particularly in Badia regions.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly again on Saturday as unstable weather conditions develop, bringing partly cloudy to overcast skies and showers in various parts of the country. Southeasterly to southwesterly winds are expected to become active and may raise dust, particularly in desert areas.

For Wednesday, temperatures in eastern Amman are expected to range between 19 C and 7 C, compared with 17 C and 5 C in western Amman. Aqaba is forecast to record highs of 26 C and lows of 13 C. Petra
