Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – Rakan Qadah – A pregnant woman in her 40s died after consuming a toxic chemical, Lannate, in northern Ghor on Wednesday.

Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) rescue cadres rushed the unconscious woman to the Eidun Military Hospital in Irbid, northern Jordan, where she was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon.

An autopsy report revealed that the woman's death was caused by consumption of poisonous insecticide, Lannate.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine whether the death of the woman and her unborn child was caused by foul play or suicide.
