Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, during a phone call on Sunday with his Egypt's counterpart Badr Abdel Al-Atty, discussed the repercussions of the dangerous escalation in the region.
The talks came as part of ongoing coordination ahead of the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level.
Safadi and Abdel Al-Atty reviewed prospects for ending the crisis, restoring calm, reducing tensions, and adopting diplomacy as the path toward strengthening security and stability.
Safadi reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of what he described as unjustified Iranian attacks on Jordanian territory and on other brotherly Arab states, stressing that the Kingdom will take all necessary and available measures to protect its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty.
In addition, Safadi affirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with the Gulf states in any steps they take to confront Iranian attacks and safeguard their citizens and security.
For his part, Badr Abdel Al-Atty reaffirmed Egypt’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Jordan and expressed country’s solidarity with the Kingdom.
