Occupation authorities ban Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa for seventh consecutive day

06-03-2026 03:18 PM

Ammon News - Israeli occupation authorities on Friday banned prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the seventh consecutive day during the month of Ramadan, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

It said that the occupation police closed Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in occupied East Jerusalem, for the seventh day in a row, preventing Palestinian Muslims from praying at the site during the holy month of Ramadan.

The occupation police imposed the closure, exploiting security tensions to impose further restrictions and consolidate control over al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities announced the closure of all crossings in the occupied Palestinian territories, effective Sunday until further notice, following the US-Israeli attack on Iran.
