03-03-2026 02:39 PM

Ammon News - Maritime traffic and cargo handling operations at the Port of Aqaba are proceeding as scheduled, with no disruptions to inbound or outbound vessel movement, Director General of the Aqaba Company for Ports Operation and Management Mahmoud Khleifat said Tuesday.

In a press statement, Khleifat said six vessels are currently berthed at the port, carrying a range of bulk and general cargo, including barley, coal and iron. He added that additional ships transporting vehicles and livestock are expected to arrive in the coming days under previously scheduled berthing programs.

He noted that vessel flow to and from the port has not been affected by ongoing international developments, underscoring that the Port of Aqaba maintains its operational efficiency and logistical reliability.

Khleifat said the port continues to serve as a secure and strategic maritime gateway for trade, supported by its geographic location and stable operating environment.

He also affirmed that a comprehensive emergency response and contingency framework is in place to ensure the uninterrupted flow of supply chains into the Kingdom and to safeguard the safety and security of port operations.
