Ammon News - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged residents living near the U.S. Embassy in Amman to follow precautionary safety measures if warning sirens are heard.

In a statement, the PSD called on citizens to take the following preventive steps:

Remain indoors until any potential threat has passed, indicated by the sound of a single continuous siren.

Close windows and stay away from them.

Drivers are advised to immediately stop their vehicles, head to the nearest building, and take shelter near stairwells until the threat ends.

In case of emergency, citizens are urged to contact the unified emergency number 911 without hesitation.

In addition, the PSD stressed that these precautionary measures are being implemented to ensure public safety and do not warrant panic, urging everyone to comply with the instructions.
