Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, received a phone call on Saturday evening from U.S. Secretary of State MArco Rubio, during which they discussed the serious escalation in the region.
Rubio affirmed the United States’ solidarity with Jordan in confronting Iranian attacks on its territory and its support for all measures Jordan takes to protect the safety of its citizens, as well as its security and sovereignty.
Safadi emphasized Jordan’s condemnation of the unjustified Iranian attacks on its territory and on other brotherly Arab countries, stating that the Kingdom will take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty.
Also, Safadi expressed appreciation for the United States’ support for Jordan.
Safadi stressed the need to intensify efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability and to rely on diplomacy as the path to resolving crises and de-escalating tensions in the region.
