Ammon News - The latest 2026 Henley Passport Index has ranked the Jordanian passport 81st globally and 10th among Arab countries, granting its holders access to 50 destinations worldwide without a prior visa or with facilitated entry procedures.
The ranking reflects a notable improvement compared with 2025, when Jordan was placed 90th globally, according to monitoring by Ammon News based on data published on the Henley Index website.
Regionally, the United Arab Emirates topped the Arab rankings, securing third place worldwide, followed by Qatar, then Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Jordan ranked among the top 10 Arab countries, outperforming Lebanon, Sudan, Iran, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, which placed last among Arab states.
The Henley Passport Index is the only one of its kind based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA). The index includes 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations.
