Ammon News - The Anti-Narcotics Department arrested 18 suspected drug dealers and promoters in 10 major cases and security campaigns carried out in recent days across the Kingdom.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that large quantities of narcotics and firearms were seized.
In Amman, authorities arrested several high-risk suspects in multiple operations. In the largest case, two suspected traffickers were detained after weeks of surveillance, with 83 slabs of hashish and 10 kilograms of marijuana seized.
In another case, three prominent dealers were arrested with 21 slabs of hashish, 3 kilograms of marijuana, 300 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Two additional suspects described as suppliers were apprehended with 1.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and three pistols. Separate operations in and south of the capital led to the seizure of additional quantities of hashish.
In Madaba, two suspected dealers were arrested with 121 slabs of hashish, while three others were detained in related raids. In Ramtha District in the far north of the Kingdom, a suspect was arrested with 1.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
In the Southern Region, two suspects were arrested on the Desert Highway with 28 slabs of hashish. A suspected dealer was detained in Karak Governorate with six slabs of hashish.
The PSD said that anti-narcotics operations would continue to target trafficking and promotion activities nationwide.
