Ammon News - A Ramadan message posted by Rogel Rahman sparked widespread controversy among Jordanians on social media, with many mistakenly believing the ambassador was present in Jordan.

However, Rahman has not been in the Kingdom since 2023, following the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

On November 1, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, announced the immediate recall of Jordan’s ambassador from Israel. The move reflected Jordan’s firm rejection and condemnation of the war on Gaza, which Safadi said has caused significant civilian casualties, a severe humanitarian crisis, and raised concerns about broader regional instability.

Safadi instructed the relevant department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to inform the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to return its ambassador who had previously left the Kingdom.

Safadi explained that the return of ambassadors would be linked to Israel stopping its war on Gaza and ending the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing, as well as all its measures that deprive Palestinians of their right to food, water, medicine, and their right to live safely and stably on their national soil.
