Ammon News - The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday a halt to live sheep exports to neighboring countries to ensure sufficient supply of red meat for the local market, maintain price stability, and provide adequate quantities for citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
New sources of import for live animals, including sheep and calves, have been opened, and new slaughterhouses have been approved for importing various types of meat from approved and veterinarily compliant sources, the Ministry explained.
