Ammon News - Tourism revenue increased by 4.1 percent in January 2026, reaching $708.5 million, compared with $680.5 million recorded in the same month last year, according to data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
The rise was attributed to a 3.2 percent increase in the number of tourists visiting the Kingdom. The data showed significant growth in tourism income from European nationalities, which rose by 56.9 percent, followed by Asian visitors at 11.6 percent, Americans at 16.0 percent, and Arab tourists at 3.0 percent.
In contrast, tourism revenue declined from other nationalities by 2.0 percent and from Jordanian expatriates by 3.0 percent during the same period.
The figures also indicated a 6.2 percent increase in outbound tourism spending in January 2026, which reached $196.3 million.
