Remittances to Jordan rise 4.5% in 2025, reach $4,4 billion

Ammon News - Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) indicates that total remittances from workers in the Kingdom increased by 4.5% during 2025, reaching $4,472.8 million, while outgoing remittances from the Kingdom rose by 14.2% to $1,768.5 million.

According to the data, the United Arab Emirates ranked first among sources of incoming remittances, contributing 21.8 percent of the total. It was followed by the United States at 18.9 percent and Saudi Arabia at 18.6 percent, while Qatar accounted for 9.6 percent. Other countries collectively made up 31.1 percent of total incoming transfers.

As for outgoing remittances, Egypt was the leading destination for remittances from the Kingdom, representing 40.6 percent of the total. It was followed by Bangladesh at 10.7 percent, the United Arab Emirates at 5.7 percent, and the Philippines at 5.3 percent. The remaining 37.7 percent was distributed among other countries.
