Ammon News - France President Emmanuel Macron advocated for a new joint borrowing initiative by the 27 member states, which would fund strategic investments and allow the European Union to "tackle the hegemony of the dollar."
This stance arrives as European heads of state and government are set to meet in Brussels on February 12 to discuss competitiveness.
In an interview given on Monday, February 9, to several European newspapers, including Le Monde, following the Greenland crisis, the head of state is also urging Europeans not to give in to "a cowardly sense of relief," which would only be short-lived.
