I don't want to reconcile with family, says Brooklyn Beckham

21-01-2026 02:06 PM

Ammon News - Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has said he does not want to "reconcile" with his family - in his first public comments addressing reports about his relationship with his parents.

In a series of posts on Instagram, the eldest child of David Beckham and Lady Beckham accused his parents of "attacking" him and his wife in the press, saying they tried "endlessly to ruin" his relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham.

After months of speculation about a feud in the high-profile family, he said he had tried to keep the situation private but was left with "no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth".

David has not directly commented on the post, but speaking generally about social media on Tuesday, he said children are "allowed to make mistakes".

Speaking at the World Economic Forum on Tuesday, David also said he has tried to "educate" his children on the positives and negatives of social media.

The BBC has contacted David's and Lady Beckham's representatives for further comment. The pair have never publicly acknowledged a rift.

"I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private," Peltz Beckham, 26, wrote in a series of posts to his 16 million followers.

"Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."
