Army Chief meets with Libyan Military Commander

Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Hunaiti held talks on Sunday with commander-in-chief of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, at the Libyan General Command headquarters. The Jordanian official was received with full military honors.

Discussions centered on expanding defense cooperation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on military training, experience-sharing, and strengthening institutional capabilities. The two sides also exchanged views on coordination and consultation over issues of common concern, aiming to advance shared interests and reinforce regional security and stability.

Field Marshal Haftar extended his regards to His Majesty King Abdullah II, underscoring the strong ties and deep-rooted historical relations between Jordan and Libya, and praising Jordan’s role in promoting security and stability across the region. Petra
