Ammon News - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) warned of the low-pressure system affecting the Kingdom on Sunday and Monday, which, according to weather reports issued by the competent authorities, will be accompanied by rainfall that may be heavy at times in the north of the Kingdom, gradually extending to the central and eastern regions, and reaching the southwestern regions by evening hours, and may be accompanied by thunder and hail.
The PSD stressed the need to adhere to preventive guidelines and follow safe behavior to reduce accidents of all kinds, emphasizing the importance of staying away from the sides of valleys, flood channels and low areas, especially in the north of the Kingdom, and not risking crossing water pools, whether on foot or by vehicles, because they pose a real danger to lives and property.
In addition, the PSD urged drivers to exercise caution while driving on roads experiencing rainfall, due to slippery conditions and reduced visibility. It also stressed the need to inspect and maintain rainwater drainage channels to reduce water levels and prevent flooding of homes, in addition to the importance of providing water suction pumps, especially in homes located below street level.
