Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone early Friday morning thwarted two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics within its area of ​​responsibility. The drugs were transported via balloons guided by sophisticated electronic devices.

Border Guard units detected the balloons and intercepted them, bringing them and their cargo down inside Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.

The seized narcotics were transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.
