Prime Minister conveys King's greetings to Lebanese President

Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun, affirming Jordan's support for Lebanon, its security, stability, and sovereignty, and for the significant efforts being made to build its institutions.

This came during the Lebanese President's reception of the Prime Minister this morning, Thursday, at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.

In turn, the Lebanese President asked the Prime Minister to convey his greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II, expressing his appreciation for the support provided by Jordan, under His Majesty's leadership, to Lebanon in various fields.

During the meeting, the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, along with ways to enhance and develop them in various sectors, particularly in light of the signing of 21 agreements between the two countries yesterday following the resumption of the work of the Jordanian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the region, emphasizing the shared position on the Palestinian issue and the necessity of consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza, restoring the just and legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, and affirming that the security and stability of Syria are in the interest of the region and of both brotherly countries to complete joint projects.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Najdawi, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic Walid Al-Hadid, and the Lebanese Minister of Transport and Public Works/Head of the Prime Minister’s Honorary Mission Fayez Rasamni.
