Ammon News - Medical sources reported the death of a seven-day-old infant on Saturday morning in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, due to the extreme cold and plummeting temperatures.

The death toll caused by the recent severe weather conditions and extreme cold across the Gaza Strip has now exceeded 15.

These figures reflect the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip, particularly for children and displaced people living in flimsy tents ill-equipped to withstand the harsh winter condition.

The residents of Gaza are suffering from a lack of shelter and medical care, and a shortage of heating fuel, amidst the stormy, cold, and rainy weather.
