Ammon News - The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) reported that a low-pressure system over Cyprus will begin affecting the Kingdom on Monday evening, bringing clouds at different altitudes.
There is a chance of scattered showers in the north of the Kingdom during the night, later extending to the central regions. Winds will be moderate to brisk from the southwest.
By Tuesday dawn, the influence of a very cold polar air mass linked to the Cyprus-centered low-pressure system will strengthen, leading to a sharp drop in temperatures. Most areas will experience very cold, cloudy, and rainy weather, with occasional heavy rainfall, and some regions may see thunderstorms and hail.
Starting early Tuesday morning, snow showers are expected over the high mountain peaks, sometimes mixed with rain, with a slight chance of minor accumulation on the high southern mountains (Al-Sharah). Westerly winds will be active, occasionally strong, raising dust over desert areas.
