Ammon News - The Traffic Department at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) has confirmed that traffic divisions are implementing a comprehensive traffic management plan to maintain a balanced flow of traffic expected between the Kingdom's governorates during the New Year's holiday.

Captain Musab Al-Marayat of the Traffic Department stated that the plan aims to facilitate traffic flow and ensure public safety, urging citizens to adhere to the instructions of traffic officers.

For his part, a representative from the Highway Patrols Department explained that field teams began assessing the traffic situation early Wednesday morning through a wide deployment on main and external roads, noting a significant increase in traffic, particularly of freight vehicles.

Brig. Gen. Raed Assaf, Director of the Traffic Department at the Public Security Directorate (PSD), outlined the key features of the department's traffic plan to manage traffic flow during the Kingdom's New Year's celebrations.

Assaf noted the plan aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety of citizens nationwide.

In a statement on Tuesday, Assaf indicated that approximately 2,093 traffic personnel and 558 multi-purpose vehicles will be deployed countrywide to guarantee smooth traffic flow and maintain public safety during all celebrations.
