Jordan… A Homeland That Celebrates All Its People

24-12-2025 05:12 PM

Captain Osama Shakman
Jordan is not just land we live on; it is a spirit that lives within us. It is a story shaped over time, built on human dignity, and enriched by diversity when guided by wisdom and love.

Here, religions have never been walls that divide us, but windows of light, all opening onto one shared sky called الوطن — the homeland.

When Christmas arrives in Jordan, it is not only a religious occasion, but a national moment of joy. It knocks on hearts before doors and reminds us of a true partnership between people who have shared bread and salt, happiness and hardship, and together written the story of a homeland that excludes no one.

In Jordan, belonging is measured by our ability to embrace one another, and unity is proven in the small daily acts that shape life.

We are not separate groups living side by side, but one family, strengthened by experience and united by challenges.

When we celebrate Christmas with our Christian brothers and sisters, we are not simply offering greetings; we are renewing a deep national promise: that this homeland is a warm home for all, and that the joy of any one of its people is an added heartbeat in the heart of Jordan.

Love here is not a passing occasion, but a way of life. It is not an exception, but the foundation upon which this home was built.

At Christmas, we rediscover that our unity is not just words spoken, but actions lived, and that Jordan stands strong only through all its people—Muslims and Christians—partners in the land, in the dream, and in the future.

Wishing our Christian brothers and sisters a joyful Christmas every year,
And wishing Jordan continued warmth,

Stronger through the love of its people,

More beautiful in its diversity,

And truer to its promise when we say:

It is a homeland for one people,

One heart, and one shared destiny.
