Ammon News - The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Yazan Al-Khadeer, met with several Azerbaijani tourism officials and representatives of travel companies as part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation and promote Jordan in promising markets.

The meetings also support Jordan’s strategy to open new tourism markets and reinforce its presence on the regional and global tourism map.

According to a ministry statement issued today, Al-Khadeer discussed with Fuad Nagiyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Agency, opportunities to enhance bilateral tourism cooperation, with a focus on increasing the number of Azerbaijani visitors to Jordan.

In the presence of Jordan’s Ambassador to Baku, Omar Al-Nahar, Al-Khadeer also met with Samir Rezaev, CEO of Azerbaijan Airlines. Another meeting, attended by Deputy Ambassador Ashraf Al-Qatarneh, brought him together with Javidans Kahramanov Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament and President of the Association of Travel Agents of Azerbaijan to explore ways to strengthen air connectivity and facilitate travel programs to Jordan.

Organized and coordinated by the Jordanian Embassy in Baku, Al-Khadeer held a series of meetings with major Azerbaijani travel and tourism companies to discuss prospects for cooperation and strategies to attract more visitors from the Azerbaijani market, considered one of the most dynamic emerging tourism markets in Central Asia.

The meetings coincided with Al-Khadeer’s visit to Baku to participate in the preparatory sessions for the fourth meeting of the Jordan-Azerbaijan Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation.

On the sidelines of the visit, Ambassador Omar Al-Nahar hosted an event bringing together Al-Khadeer and several leading Azerbaijani travel and tourism content creators. During the gathering, Al-Khadeer delivered a briefing on Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings and the unique archaeological and heritage sites that distinguish the Kingdom.
