JABC Expresses Support for 2025 American Cash Support Grant

17-11-2025 12:10 PM

Ammon News - The Jordanian-American Business Council (JABC) expressed its support for the Cabinet's approval of the 2025 direct cash-support grant agreement with the United States, valued at USD 845 million.

Deputy Chairman of the Council, Dr. Tayseer Younes, said in remarks to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the decision reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between the two countries and underscores the confidence Jordan enjoys internationally, particularly in light of its balanced regional role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Dr. Younes noted that the U.S. grant signifies Washington’s recognition of Jordan’s central role in regional stability, as well as the Kingdom’s continued efforts in economic reform and trade openness.

He added that the support carries implications beyond its financial contribution, offering opportunities to expand economic and investment cooperation between the two nations and strengthening private-sector engagement through potential joint projects that serve shared strategic interests.

He emphasized that the continued flow of such support enhances the national economy’s ability to move toward sustainable growth and reinforces Jordan’s position as a trusted international partner capable of maintaining its regional and global role effectively.

The Cabinet approved the annual grant agreement during its session held yesterday, confirming the transfer of USD 845 million in direct support to the Treasury for the fiscal year 2025.

The grant continues the long-standing strategic relationship between Jordan and the United States and reflects the respect accorded to Jordanian leadership in Washington.
