Ammon News - The Turkish Embassy in Amman hosted a reception Wednesday evening to mark Türkiye’s National Day, commemorating the founding of the Turkish Republic 102 years ago. The event brought together Jordanian officials, including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Namrouqa, members of the Turkish community in Jordan, and distinguished guests.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Jordan, Büyükelçi Yakup Caymazo?lu, who is attending his first National Day celebration in the Kingdom, underscored the deep-rooted ties between the two nations. "The strong turnout tonight reflects the enduring friendship between Türkiye and Jordan, forged over decades," he said. "

Our countries continue to engage in regular consultations and meetings to strengthen bilateral cooperation and coordinate on regional matters, guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Erdo?an. Our destinies are intertwined, and we must work together to safeguard the security, stability, and sovereignty of both nations."

The ambassador highlighted recent developments in economic and defense cooperation. He noted a meeting yesterday in Amman between Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yarab Qudah, and Turkish Minister of Trade, ?mer Bolat, under the framework of the Jordan-Türkiye Joint Economic Committee.

The talks addressed key trade, investment, and development projects that aim to benefit both countries. Additionally, the 22nd round of defense industry consultations was held in Amman, reinforcing strategic cooperation in the military sector.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Caymazo?lu expressed optimism for continued engagement at the highest levels. "We anticipate more high-level visits from both sides in the coming weeks and months, building on the strong foundation of our partnership," he said.
