27-10-2025 01:41 PM

Ammon News - The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced a collaboration with Google, as part of the initiatives of the National Council for Future Technology, to provide all university students in Jordan with 12 months of free access to Gemini Pro, one of the world’s leading generative AI tools.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, university students (above the age of 18) will be able to access the paid version of Gemini by using their personal email addresses, and verifying their student status.

The Ministry emphasized that equipping university students with advanced AI tools will help enhance their skills, strengthen innovation, and foster creative learning, in line with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to harness artificial intelligence in promoting educational outcomes.

Through this initiative, students will gain access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, which offers advanced capabilities including the Deep Research feature, text to video generation using Veo 3 model, and NotebookLM, an interactive tool designed to enhance learning and research. Additionally, the offer will also include access to 2TB of storage for projects, photos and notes on Google Photos, Drive and Gmail.

All students enrolled in Jordanian universities can register before 9 December 2025, via the following website: gemini.google/students
