Cool, Mild Days to Continue as Autumn Weather Settles In

Ammon News - Gentle autumn air and mild afternoons will continue to shape the country’s weather through early next week, with comfortable conditions across most regions and slightly warmer weather around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

On Thursday, temperatures will stay close to seasonal averages, bringing pleasant autumn weather and patches of medium and high clouds drifting across the sky. Northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow at a moderate pace.

Friday will see a slight rise in temperatures, leaving the weather moderate in most regions and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium-level clouds will appear at times, while light southeasterly winds shift to northwesterly by afternoon.

A mild dip in temperatures is expected on Saturday, returning conditions to their autumn norms. The weather will remain pleasant through Sunday, with northwesterly winds turning occasionally active and raising light dust in open desert areas.

Temperature readings for Thursday show highs and lows of 28 and 17 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 26 and 15 in West Amman, 24 and 12 in the northern highlands, and 25 and 11 in the Sharah highlands.

In desert areas, temperatures will range between 31 and 16 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 28 and 16 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 34 and 18 degrees, compared to 34 and 24 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.

Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 33 and 23 degrees, and 33 and 22 degrees in Aqaba.
