Ammon News - Tuesday, The local gold market in Jordan witnessed a price surge today, with rates climbing by 30 piasters per gram, according to the daily bulletin released by the General Syndicate for Owners of Jewelry and Gold Trading Shops. This increase reflects heightened local activity and demand.

The benchmark 21-carat gold, which is the most popular choice among local consumers, saw its selling price (from jewelers) reach JD 83.90 per gram. The purchasing price (from the public) for the same carat was listed at JD 80.90 per gram.

Price hikes were consistent across the board, affecting all major denominations. The bulletin specified the selling prices for other carats, with 24-carat gold reaching JD 96.10 per gram. Similarly, the price for 18-carat gold now stands at JD 74.30 per gram, while 14-carat gold is listed at JD 56.50 per gram.
