Ammon News - The official television of the European microstate of San Marino announced on Tuesday that it has formally recognized the State of Palestine.

The decision was made on Monday, during the "Two-State Solution Conference" held in New York under the leadership of France and Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of the United Nations.

On Sunday, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal announced their recognition of the State of Palestine. Luxembourg, Belgium, Andorra, France, Malta, and Monaco followed yesterday, bringing the number of those recognizing the State to approximately 159 out of 193 UN member states.
