CARC: Low-cost flights to return to Jordan after mid-September

26-08-2025 11:30 AM

Ammon News - Captain Haitham Misto, Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), revealed on Tuesday that low-cost airlines will gradually resume flights to the Kingdom after mid-September. The number of flights and destinations will increase as these airlines' air traffic becomes more regular.

The return will include numerous destinations from Europe to Jordan, spanning more than 18 destinations, with a gradual increase to include other destinations, Misto added, noting that Ryanair and Wizz Air have operating permits from the CARC to operate flights to and from Jordan.

However, the CARC has asked the two companies to inform it of the number of flights and operational days they will operate after mid-September, in preparation for granting the necessary operating permits to these companies, according to Misto.

In addition, Misto revealed that the low-cost airline "Eurowings" has submitted an official request to the CARC to operate flights to Jordan from various destinations.

Misto indicated that the CARC had requested a set of documents, detailed information, flight schedules, and technical and security details from the company necessary to complete the file and grant the required permits.

Recently, the Jordan Tourism Board signed an agreement with Eurowings to facilitate its flights to and from the Kingdom.

The Jordan Tourism Board previously announced that Wizz Air and Ryanair would return to full capacity in Jordan on October 26, 2025.

The expected European destinations served by these companies include Budapest, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Memmingen (Germany), Bucharest, Poznan, and Krakow (Poland), in addition to Italian cities such as Pisa, Madrid, Venice, Milan, Prague, and other destinations, the Jordan Tourism Board said.
