Sheri Ritsema-Anderson, the UN Resident Coordinator in Jordan, on Tuesday confirmed the United Nations' deep appreciation for the exceptional support Jordan provides to the UN personnel and operations in Jordan and the region.

Anderson stressed the United Nations values Jordan's work to deliver humanitarian aid and advance regional stability.

In a post on X platform, Anderson said: "I was honored to join UN Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security Gilles Michaud in his meeting with Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi."

Safadi met on Monday with Michaud to discuss regional developments and ways to strengthen cooperation.

The discussions focused on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to enhance coordination with UN humanitarian agencies to ensure the delivery of aid to the Strip.
