UK works with Jordan to get aid dropped into Gaza, Starmer says

26-07-2025 03:31 PM

Ammon News -

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed that his country is urgently working with Jordanian authorities to airdrop humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

In a video statement on the X platform on Friday, Starmer said that his country will do everything it can to provide food and life-saving support to the Palestinian people immediately.

The famine and despair in Gaza are "absolutely horrific," and that the British people are outraged by what is happening, as the images of famine and despair in Gaza are absolutely horrific, Starmer added.

He pointed out that the denial of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people – to children and babies – is completely unjustifiable. And so is Israel’s disproportionate military escalation in Gaza.

Efforts are being intensified to evacuate children from Gaza who need critical medical assistance – bringing more Palestinian children to the UK for specialist medical treatment, he noted.
