Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone forces on Monday evening foiled infiltration attempts by individuals on its front, according to a source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF).

A group of individuals were spotted attempting to cross the border illegally. Rapid reaction patrols were immediately dispatched, implementing the rules of engagement, which resulted in the killing of one of the individuals and the escape of the rest of the group into Syrian territory, the source said.

The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces will continue to harness its various capabilities and potential to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling operations, in order to preserve the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
