Ammon News - The Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Hussein Shibli, said that the organization is preparing between 30 and 35 trucks of humanitarian aid, which will head to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, carrying food supplies.
Shibli explained that the current situation in the Gaza Strip is significantly different from what it was before, noting that the closure imposed by the Israeli occupation, and the accompanying systematic starvation and deprivation of food, is unprecedented since October 7, 2023.
There is a clear intent to starve and deprive the people in the Gaza Strip, leading to a state of despair and slow mass death from hunger, Shibli added, emphasizing that the greatest concern regarding Gaza has become the delivery of aid to those in need.
Shibli described what is happening in Gaza as "very difficult," stressing that Jordanian efforts are being made at all levels, including diplomatic and relief efforts, through direct implementation of programs, and through coordination with organizations within the country.
In a statements to Al-Mamlaka TV, Shibli stressed that the current method of bringing in aid is unorganized, calling for the borders to be opened and sufficient quantities of aid allowed to enter.
