Ammon News - A hot and dry air mass is expected to affect the Kingdom starting Tuesday, pushing temperatures 3 to 4 C above seasonal averages. Most areas will experience hot weather, while extremely hot conditions are forecast for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Moderate northwesterly winds will prevail, occasionally becoming active, particularly in desert regions.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, the hot and dry weather pattern will continue on Wednesday, with similar temperature levels and wind conditions. The winds may stir dust in some desert areas.
Thursday and Friday are also expected to bring continued heat across most regions, with extreme temperatures remaining in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will stay moderate but may intensify at times, especially in the eastern desert, potentially raising dust.
Temperatures on Tuesday are forecast to range between 37 C and 25 C in East Amman, 35 C and 23 C in West Amman, 31 C and 19 C in the northern highlands, and 32 C and 19 C in the Sharah highlands.
Desert areas will see highs of 40 C and lows of 23 C, while the plains are expected to record temperatures between 36 C and 24 C. The northern Jordan Valley will reach 42 C and drop to 28 C at night, while the southern Jordan Valley may hit 44 C with lows around 30 C.
The Dead Sea is expected to see temperatures between 43 C and 28 C, and Aqaba between 43 C and 29 C. Petra
