Ammon News - Under Royal Directives, the Jordanian Armed Forces participated on Sunday in efforts to extinguish fires that broke out in several Syrian regions.
The fires were caused by the explosion of war remnants and soaring temperatures, which led to the spread of the fires to forests, plains, and residential areas there.
Two Royal Air Force Black Hawk helicopters were dispatched by the Armed Forces, equipped with specialized crews and advanced technical equipment, to help control the fires and limit their spread, protecting lives and property.
This participation comes within the framework of the humanitarian role undertaken by the Jordanian Armed Forces, and its constant commitment to assisting sisterly and friendly countries in crises and natural disasters, reflecting the values of solidarity and mutual support embraced by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Syrian government, for its part, expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Jordan for this swift response, praising the significant humanitarian role undertaken by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in various circumstances and situations.
