Ammon News - The Southern Military Zone, within its area of ​​responsibility, thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs, at dawn on Thursday, in coordination with with security bodies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army announced.

The source said that the forces were able to thwart an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone that attempted to cross the border, explaining that the rules of engagement were implemented after the drone was detected and tracked, and that the drone was dealt with and brought down inside Jordanian territory. The seized items were transferred to the relevant authorities.

In addition, the source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces will continue to harness its various capabilities and potential to prevent these narcotic substances from reaching citizens and affecting national security.
