Ammon News - Temperatures across Jordan are expected to rise gradually starting Wednesday, following a day of mild conditions in most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
On Tuesday, the weather is forecast to remain mild over the highlands and plains, while relatively hot conditions will prevail in desert areas. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience hot weather. Winds are expected to be northwesterly and moderate, with occasional gusts in some areas.
By Wednesday, temperatures are projected to climb 3 to 4 C above the seasonal average. Most regions will see relatively hot weather, while hotter conditions are expected in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will shift from northeasterly to northwesterly, remaining moderate and occasionally active in desert areas.
Similar weather patterns are forecast for Thursday and Friday. The Meteorological Department said relatively hot weather will continue across most regions, with hot conditions persisting in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate winds are expected to continue, with occasional gusts in eastern and southeastern regions.
Tuesday’s temperatures are expected to vary significantly across the Kingdom, with highs and lows of 33 C and 19 C in East Amman, and 31 C and 17 C in West Amman.
The northern highlands will see cooler conditions at 27 C during the day and 13 C at night, while the Sharah highlands are forecast to reach 28 C and drop to 14 C overnight. In desert regions, temperatures are expected to climb to 36 C with lows around 18 C.
The plains will see a range of 31 C to 18 C. Hotter conditions are forecast in the Jordan Valley, with the northern valley reaching 38 C / 22 C and the southern valley hitting 39 C / 26 C.
The Dead Sea is also expected to see highs of 39 C and lows of 25 C, while Aqaba will record the highest temperatures in the country at 40 C during the day and 25 C overnight. Petra
