The security forces found on Saturday evening a body of a 7-year-old boy, who had been deceased for several days, inside his family’s apartment in the Al-Khazan area in Aqaba.

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that a report was received at the Aqaba Police Operations Room, where security forces and forensic medicine arrived at the scene.

The boy’s body was taken to the forensic medicine center to determine the cause of death, and an investigation has been launched.

During the investigations, suspicion arose that his father had killed him with a sharp instrument. After searching for him, he was arrested and investigations are now underway.
