Ammon News - Two 10-year-old boys exploring near a beach in Poland discovered a message in a bottle containing a handwritten love letter dating back to 1959.
The boys, Eryk and Kuba, were hiking along World War II fortifications near Stogi Beach in Gdańsk when they came across the bottle with a note inside.
The aged letter was penned by a girl named Rysia in 1959. Addressed to someone she called "Bunny," the message described her feelings of loneliness at school in Tarnów and her deep affection for the recipient.
"I assure you that I am quiet and modest, I don't make friends with anyone, I simply avoid men," Rysia wrote. "My dear, I am a terrible egoist, I only write about myself, but I only think about you—I see you every moment."
Eryk and Kuba have reached out to a museum in Tarnów in the hopes of identifying and possibly locating the letter's author.
