Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, confirmed that the Jordanian delegation discussed several issues with its Syrian counterparts, most notably energy, trade, transportation, and water.
In a press conference from Damascus on Tuesday, Safadi said that security threats face both Jordan and Syria, and that whatever threatens Jordan's security threatens Syria's security, and vice versa.
Safadi also explained that there is ongoing security and defense cooperation to confront common challenges, whether drug or weapons smuggling.
Jordan stands completely with Syria against the Israeli aggression, Safadi added, noting that there is no justification for aggression in any form, as Jordan shares Syria's challenges and opportunities, and that whatever threatens its security and stability threatens Jordan's security and stability.
The Foreign Minister spoke about Jordan's agreement with Damascus on a roadmap for cooperation in the fields of health, water, transportation, and energy.
