Jordanian-Syrian ministerial meetings begin in Damascus

The Jordanian-Syrian meetings began on Tuesday morning, at Tishreen Palace in the capital, Damascus, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani.


The delegation includes Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Saud; Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah; Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh; and Minister of Transport Wissam Tahtamouni.

Among the issues to be discussed are the return of refugees, strengthening trade and industrial relations between the two countries, and transportation, as Jordan is considered the closest to Syria in terms of implementing these issues.
