Correction
In the article “Health sector key to overcoming demographic pressures - USAID” (JT Wednesday, May 26) the sentence:
“The JCHP also worked with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to a unique sexual education module,”
should read:
“In 2009, the JCHP in consultation with the Higher Population Council, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and USAID created a Family Health Training Manual, a Friday sermon booklet, and collected main Islamic fatwas related to family planning, and since then, 400 imams and waizat were trained in this material.”
