Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan stressed that the primary concern today is to stop the war on the Gaza Strip.
During Jordan's speech at the Baghdad Summit on Saturday, Hassan said that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land is the theme of this stage.
He added that more than a year and a half has passed since the start of the brutal war on Gaza, and the tragedy continues.
The Prime Minister explained that the repercussions of this unjust war and its tragic effects will extend for many years.
"The world has stood helpless in ending this war, which violates all international laws and norms, and whose catastrophic consequences pose a stark challenge to humanity. Our primary concern today is to stop the war and end the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing," he stated.
Hassan pointed out that all efforts must be combined to achieve an immediate and permanent ceasefire and ensure the immediate and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Also, the Prime Minister affirmed Jordan's support for the efforts made by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to achieve this.
